Mark Of The Vampire (1935) Poster Art Showcase

Greetings, everyone! The Halloween season is officially upon us and thus, it is time for another Poster Fright Fest! All month long, I will be posting new movie poster artwork featuring some of the most memorable horror/sci-fi classics. Hopefully this year's Fest will be even bigger and better, so let's begin!
First up is my new artwork featuring the horror classic Mark Of The Vampire (1935). Starring Lionel Barrymore and the great Bela Lugosi, 'Mark' is a virtual remake of the lost silent horror film London After Midnight (1927), which starred Lon Chaney. Tod Browning directed the original, as well as this version, and it is a fun horror/who-done-it romp. Just like the original, it has a twist ending; As the poster says, you won't dare believe what your eyes will see!
For this poster I wanted to capture some of the mysterious, atmospheric vibe of the film, as well as wanting to illustrate a solid rendition of Lugosi as Count Mora. After a few days of work, I think I pulled it off. Definitely a lot of fun creating this one.
