Mantle swap operation. Displaying the problem of todays technique to lift off the mantle from the shaft. It is done by welding two metal plates with holes in them on to the big and thick mantle and then using chains and a forklift to lift it of. The weld of the plates on to the mantle can be hard to do properly because of the big difference in thickness of the two parts. So many workers around the world have been injured or killed when the weld has yielded and the workers gets crushed underneath. The small plates can be seen at 16:16 in the video, but are already put on the shaft.
