The Deceiver | Jambuka | Animated Buddhist Stories - นิทานชาดก
#WatSanFran #Dhammapada #Jambuka
Jambuka (Verse #70)
Jambuka was born with some very peculiar habits as a result of karma generated in past lives. Owing to his habits, he had to separate himself from normal people. This separation made him seem mysterious and different, and he allowed people to think he was something more than he truly was. Eventually, the Buddha told him about the karma he created in the past, and he was able to achieve enlightenment.
The Buddha would often use past rebirth stories (Jatakas) to reveal the connection between past and present, and illuminate the relationship between cause and effect. Wat San Fran is proud to share our favorite Jatakas with you.
