Solidoodle Upgrades

A video showing some of the improvements to my Solidoodle 3 printer. These include:

1. printed replacement carriages - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:104059
2. printed Mk4 extruder assembly to replace the acrylic jigsaw - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:47561
3. E3D hot end with 0.4mm nozzle - http://e3d-online.com/
4. pololu DRV8825 1/32 stepper drivers - http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/2133
5. plexiglass enclosure to retain heat from the bed and raise ambient air temperature to reduce warping.
6. new polished linear rod - http://www.mcmaster.com/#6112k45/=oj69h8
7. LM8UU linear bearings - http://www.mcmaster.com/#63255k45/=oj69hf

Almost all mechanical slop is removed from this assembly now. The tick tick sound in the video is actually the filament scraping along the top of the enclosure. Currently I can print at 3x the default speed without an appreciable loss of quality in the print.
