Hiking To The Top Of Idaho's Highest Mountain Borah Peak

I hike, boulder, and scramble to the top of Idaho's tallest mountain, Borah Peak.

Since this was my first time doing it, I took this video footage in hopes of inspiring anyone else who was thinking about hiking Borah for the first time. For anyone not in the Idaho area, hopefully this will convince you to come visit this beautiful state!
I've included a few details and tips I found helpful.

Pack List:
-Pack (25L Day Ruck by The Hidden Woodsman)
-Garmin Inreach
-Light Down Packable Jacket
-First Aid Kit
-Trekking Poles (Komperdell Ridgehiker)
-Headlamp
-REI Yaktrax Walker System (didn't end up using)
-Biking Gloves for bouldering (didn't end up using)
-Food ( clif bars, almonds, 2L of water and 1L vitamin water)
-Bug Spray

Total Time: 7:58 (including 1 hour sitting at the top)
Total Elevation gain: 5000 feet
Total Out and Back Distance: 7.71

I highly recommend using trekking poles for the hike down the mountain, especially from the summit to about 10,500 where it's very steep and has lot's of loose rock. I never use trekking poles normally but they definitely saved me from falling a few times. I was recommended to use gloves for bouldering which I didn't end up using, I found it just fine without them. I also didn't end up needing the Yaktrax that were recommended as the "snow bridge" currently has plenty of dry ground beside it to bypass it although I could see them being useful in Spring and Fall.

I hope you try Borah, you'll love it!
