How to Install - Configure printer - Network Printer | Configure Print server & Share

Hello Friends,

Welcome again to my channel What's How in this video will show you how to configure a Print Server on WIndows server 2012. Process for all the servers like 2012 R2, 2016 0r 2019.
Prerequirements to configure a print server.

1. You must have administrative priveledges.
2. Your server must have a valid IP & host in the network.
3. Ensure your windows firewall is turned off.
In this video will try to cover 3 points.

A. How to Configure a print server.
B. How to connect a printer through a print server.
C. How to configure a network printer on windows 7,8,8.1,& Windows 10.

A. Installing the print server.

- Open server manager - click add role and features - click next - Choose role-based or featured-base installation - click next

- choose your server destination (If you have more than one server )

- Choose Print and document services from server roles - & click add- click next - click (Leave the default selections & next )

-In the role service - choose Print Server - click next & then click install -

- after installations click close.

B. Configure the Print Server.

- On the server manager - Click on tools - Select print server management console.
- on the print server tab - click Printers - Right Click on Printer - select add printer - choose
the right port where you want to install your printer
- Click create a new port - select TCP/IP - Enter your printer Ip address or hostname.
- Click next - type the description for your printer & location.
- Select the correct driver for your printer - click

- Select share this printer option

Click next & then finish, to complete the process of adding a printer to Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016 R2.
Right-click on the printer - Properties - select the security tab- select everyone - Give permission as per your requirements or need.

B. How to connect a printer through a print server.

Go to the client machine press Windows Key + R to open RUN- \\ServerHost or IP- hit Enter (You will be able to see a shared printer on the print server ) - Right Click - Select Connect.
Note:- Process is the same for Windows 7, 8, 8.2 or Windows 10

C. How to configure a network printer on windows 7,8,8.1,& Windows 10.
