Rising Storm 2: Vietnam - Helicopter Damaged Tail Rotor Recovery
How to recover from a damaged tail rotor:
1. Gain altitude
2. Pick a direction
3. Once you have established enough speed in your given direction, lower collective to reduce rotation and weathervane. At a fast enough forward speed, the airflow will naturally keep the helicopter facing in that direction.
4. Avoid high power settings and maintain speed. Either do a run on landing or do a short landing flare and lower the collective.
