Nigrán is a municipality that is part of the Region of Vigo and is also integrated in its metropolitan area , in the south of the province of Pontevedra , in the autonomous community of Galicia , Spain . Nigran belongs to the region of Val Miñor .

Nigran is 98 km from Santiago de Compostela by motorway, 20 from the Portuguese border and 10 from Vigo ; Nigran Is bordering with municipalities of Baiona , Gondomar and Vigo . Nigran geographical enclave and the excellent communications allow access by land, sea and air. Including the population centers of Nigrán, San Pedro de A Ramallosa, Parada, Camos, or Priegue is located in the lap of high mountains that protect you from the low temperatures in winter and the excessively high in summer.

Playa América or Lourido Beach, shared between the parishes of San Juan de Panxón, San Felix de Nigrán and San Pedro de A Ramallosa, next to the Muíños River bordered by the beach of Panxón, approximately in the middle of the length of the sand, is One of the best beaches on the coast of Galicia . The Visigothic Arc of Panxón stands out as the most important monument of the area, still standing since the 7th Century, in what was a small chapel now in ruins.
Temple Votivo del Mar , work of the architect Antonio Palacios Ramilo , original of Porriño finished in 1937.
The Romanesque bridge of A Ramallosa also deserves special mention within the monuments realized by the man in this municipality. It dates from the 13th century and was built by the then bishop of Tui , and preserves its medieval aspect, with semi-pointed or slightly pointed arches.
