Homemade Sanding Belts for Harbor Freight Belt Sander

MAKE THE BELTS EXACTLY 30 1/4" LONG END TO END Here's a tip for you knife sharpening junkies out there, go to the post office(USPS) and buy yourself some fiberglass backed "strapping tape". Go to the auto parts store and buy whatever grit sandpaper you want to use, cut up some paper and tape it together and bingo now you have your own custom grit sanding belts. This is a Harbor Freight 1" x 30" belt sander. It was on sale for 39.99 and I used a 20%off coupon to snatch it for 32 bucks. It works great. I will attempt to make a leather strop for this belt sander using the same technique. Thanks for watching and hope the video helps
