Join us as we experience one of the world’s most unique flights, a scheduled commercial landing on a public beach at Barra Airport in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.

Which was just a short walk from the stunning Vatersay Beach, where we braved the Atlantic for a swim.

With no car, we explored Barra and Vatersay on foot and by local transport, enjoying the beauty, coastal views, and warm island hospitality.

We also stopped in at Cafe Kisimul in Castlebay for a delicious taste of Barra’s local food scene. We were served scallop pakora which blew me away, as did the entire meal:
