First off i have spoken to Carl and we have come to the conclusion that the logo was worn down through use so wear and tear. Carl is just happy the knife was used for its intended purpose for an unbiased review. Thank you brother !!
Second off, the pin that you get with this. DO NOT CARRY IT WITH YOU if you intent to carry it in the UK. reason for that is the law can see this as a locking knife if you have that pin on you.
This is a truly wonderful knife, i am super happy that carl sent and loaned this one to me. As like i do for all you guys and test them out before you get it, well thats what i was doing with this one for myself and i for sure will be getting one of these !
I think for the price point of $99.99 / £71.80 - is very fair price for the materials and the quality that you get. That raindrop damascus VG-10 is amazing to behold and use. Not only that you get a double detent system, Pakkawood scales and a lovely baggy. If this was £100+ i think id be questioning it a bit but for that price its at now if you can get one in the uk for around that price point...get it.
The only slight wobble i have with it is the Pakkawood scales, they do tend to feel rather flimsy and the knife is very light because of these. I do like a nice weight on the knife so i may see if i can get one and change the scales for something heavier.
The action on flipping this is a topic i forgot to cover. It does rely heavily on gravity, because if you flip it pointing down toward the floor it is a million times better that trying to flip it going up vertically. Where as he Civivi Elementum doesnt have that issue as you can flip that any direction you want.
