The Life & Death of 'MotorStorm' (RETROSPECTIVE)

There was a time in late 2007 where MotorStorm was THE game to have for your PlayStation 3. In his official review, IGN's Jeremy Dunham labeled the game as the 'system seller' for Sony's hot, new console. Over the years, MotorStorm took many shapes. From a desert racer where anything goes in any vehicle, to a tropical paradise bursting at the seams with death defying jumps, all the way over into arctic and remote controlled handheld territory on the PSP and PS Vita. This was the baby of Evolution Studios, and for a period of several years, it looked as though the team could do no wrong.

But, you've heard the phrase: "Nothing gold can stay." MotorStorm's final entry is already 10 years old, and even worse, Evolution Studios was shut down just a few years later. What went wrong? What happened to this high octane racer that seemed destined for greatness? We'll cover all that and more. Enjoy it!
