Gravity Sketch with Oculus Quest 2 (NEW HEADSET RELEASED TODAY). The Oculus Quest has been out for sometime now and this week we saw the release of the Oculus Quest 2. The Quest 2 for those who don’t know is a stand-alone VR headset that can also be tethered (wired) to a PC for the full Oculus experience on par with the Oculus Rift. We received ours yesterday and the first thing I wanted to test was whether Gravity Sketch would work efficiently without being tethered to the Host PC.

I un-boxed the Quest 2 and quickly set it up, within minutes I was up and running with Gravity Sketch in VR. This video is that experience with some comments detailing my findings in the first half an hour.

Digital sculpting is well established these days with programs like ZBrush, 3DCoat, Blender and more recently in VR with apps like Adobe Medium. There are now some amazing solutions that allow you to sculpt on an Ipad Pro with an Apple Pencil.
