Diving El Meridian, Tenerife - WW2 German Minesweeper wreck at 30m - 18 minutes ASMR
El Meridian off the coat of Tenerife near Los Cristianos is the wreck of a WW2 German minesweeper.
Supposedly after it arrived in Tenerife, the local mafia stole the ship and sold it on. It was modified and used as a whale and dolphin watching vessel from Los Cristianos before being scuttled in 2005 and now lies upright on a sandy bed at 30m. It is a wooden hulled vessel with a steel topside and some of the rigging and mast is still intact, although it has deteriorated over the years.
