Holographic Rainbow Chrome Flames | I Follow A Tutorial By Katie Newton

I've always struggled doing Flames on nails. I just couldn't wrap my head around it until I saw a post by Katie Newton in which she did the most perfect pictorial! It was broken down into 6 easy steps and I was successful on my very first attempt! Which doesn't usually happen BTW. So Thank you Katie for that awesome tutorial. I also recently found the perfect Rainbow Holographic Chrome powder. If you have ever purchased this item you will know the struggle to find one that actually turns out rainbow. So I was super excited when this did exactly what I wanted it to do. Putting it over black, using the tacky layer gave it a grainy glitter effect which I wasn't going for. It worked really well over the no wipe topcoat though. Just be sure to buff the cured color coat before you start, and then the chrome wont stick to anything other than the no wipe topcoat. ( and it makes it easier to see where you are painting the clear coat) Use a base-coat over top of the chrome so it doesn't chip and then throw a good layer of topcoat over the whole thing!
