🌙 Surah Al-Fātiḥah – English Explanation
Surah Al-Fātiḥah is the first chapter of the Qur’an. It has 7 verses and is called “The Opening.” It is the most important surah and is recited in every unit of prayer (Salah).
1️⃣ In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
We begin everything by remembering Allah, asking for His mercy and kindness.
2️⃣ All praise is for Allah, Lord of all worlds
All gratitude and praise belong to Allah alone, who created and cares for everything in existence.
3️⃣ The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Allah’s mercy is vast and continuous. He is kind to all His creation.
4️⃣ Master of the Day of Judgment
Allah alone has full authority on the Day when everyone will be judged for their deeds.
5️⃣ You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help
This verse shows pure faith: we worship only Allah and rely only on Him for help.
6️⃣ Guide us on the straight path
We ask Allah to guide us to the correct way of life—faith, truth, and obedience.
7️⃣ The path of those You have blessed, not of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray
We ask Allah to keep us on the path of righteous people and protect us from wrong beliefs and actions.

It teaches faith, worship, guidance, and humility
It is a dua (prayer) directly spoken to Allah
It connects a believer’s heart to Allah in every prayer
