Sanibel Island's Ding Darling Wild life drive is paved now...

35 years ago we went here on our honeymoon, it was dirt and gravel and not full of people. Just a nice rough road full of wildlife. I wish is was still un paved, I liked it much better that way.
The J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife drive is on Sanibel Island in South West Florida. The refuge is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States. Birds, flowers, paved roads, walking trails, and viewing areas. No Jeep is needed, but what better way to drive than top down and doors off.
