Exploring the Skaguay Hydroelectric Power Plant

In this video, we go on a stupid/awesome/terrible adventure through the mountains in an attempt to reach the Skaguay Power Plant.

To reach the plant we endured a brutal 11.4 mile route with over 1,400 feet in elevation gain. It's an intense hike even if you split it up into two days by camping out here but it's an especially brutal grind if you are an idiot and attempt to do it out and back in one day like we did. There are 5 or 6 water crossings each way (so we crossed at least 10 separate times) and they seemed to get progressively worse the further we hiked. I only recorded video of one such crossing after which I turned off the camera so I could focus on the terrain. With an injured comrade, this trip became our biggest challenge ever and it concluded with a long and exhausted hike back in the dark.
