🦅 SANDY AND LUNA GAVE UP!! 😂🐟 Our trouble balls tried SO hard to
unzip their own fish today — pulled, tugged, beaked at it forever —
and finally just... gave up. The fish won this round. Even after
Mom's recent masterclass, the technique needs work. 😩

📍 In this hilarious clip, Sandy (hatched April 4) and Luna
(hatched April 5) attempted to "unzip" a fish on their own —
that's the FOBBV community term for tearing fish skin open to
access the meat. Despite their best efforts and the masterclass
Jackie recently demonstrated, the technique still needs work.
After multiple failed attempts, both chicks just walked away from
the fish in pure defeat. Pre-fledge skill-building isn't always
graceful! 😂

Pine, monitored 24/7 by Friends of Big Bear Valley (FOBBV). Jackie
is believed to be the first bald eagle ever hatched and fledged in
Big Bear. Shadow won her over in 2018. Together they have raised
four eaglets to fledge: Simba, Spirit, Sunny, and Gizmo — and now
Sandy and Luna are following in their footsteps.
