Grade 12 Mathematics Unit 2 Part 2: Least Upper Bound (lub) and Greatest Lower Bound (glb)

A sequence might have least element of the set of upper bounds and the greatest element of the set of lower bounds. But what does it mean by when we say least upper bound and greatest lower bound? here is the definition; if x is said to be the least upper bound of sequence An, if x is an upper bound of An and whenever y is an upper bound of An, then x less than or equal to y. And if x is said to be the greatest lower bound of sequence An, if x is a lower bound of An and whenever y is a lower bound of An, then x greater than or equal to y.
