Masdar City PRT Personal Rapid Transit

Masdar City is a zero carbon city being built near Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The plan for this city is to get rid of personal cars and use a PRT system located under the sidewalks for all transportation needs. Even cargo and deliveries are to be loaded on these pod cars to make it to the restaurant or facility.

Right now Masdar City is still in its infancy so there are only two stations of this PRT system making it more like a horizontal elevator, but hopefully in the future there will be many stations located throughout the city with passengers making quick, non-stop journeys to any of these stations.
