1st Gen Honda Pilot - How Reliable Are They Really?

We all know of Japanese-designed cars' reputation for reliability. But how do they hold up in the real world? I take a look at a high-mileage 1st gen 2006 Honda Pilot, to see how the quality of the car has held up to constant strain and use as a commercial work vehicle.

Here are the things that Eric, the owner, has replaced and/or repaired on his Pilot that were apart from routine maintenance:
-right front CV axle (temporary repair)
-starter solenoid
-alternator
-muffler leak/corrosion (temporary repair)
-Faulty ignition system
