Rajasthan has come on the world map with huge reserves of Uranium deposits which have been found in Rohil area of Sikar district of Rajasthan.

After Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan is the third state where uranium has been found which will benefit the India & has opened both employment and investment avenues for Rajasthan.
Uranium is considered one of the rare minerals in the world & it's mainly used for nuclear power, generating electricity, medicines, defence equipment and photography, among others.

A senior Rajasthan government official said the uranium deposits were estimated to be spread over an area of 1,086 hectares in Sikar district’s Rohil area which could be over 12 million tonnes.
