Monoplata From Mount - Using Jiu Jitsu for MMA

Brandon Mccaghren of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Decatur Alabama teaches the Monoplata from the mount position. This is a great transition for MMA, as evidenced by elite grapplers like Vinny Magalhaes and Shinya Aoki, both from a BJJ background (Aoki is a Judo black belt as well).

It may be difficult to pull off this technique from the mount against an experienced grappler, as they aren't likely to put their hands in this position. There are, however, lots of great entries to the monoplata from other positions that we will cover in subsequent videos.
