Cricut Maker Block of the Week - Week 13, Binding
Welcome to the Cricut Maker Block of the Week! Over the past 12 weeks, we have been working on making a mini quilt from start to finish. Today, I’m showing you how to bind your mini quilt to finish it. If you want to wait until next week, I’ll show you a different way to finish up this quilt. Spoiler: We’ll be turning it into a pillow! If you’re just joining in, you can catch up by finding all the project links and information on my site here: http://alwaysexpectmoore.com/cricutmakerbotw
I do include affiliate links in the text below. This won’t cost you extra, but if you do buy something, I will get a small commission on your purchase - but there is no extra cost to you.
Here are the Design Space files you’ll need to finish your quilt. You can use the scrappy binding cut Scrappy Binding: https://design.cricut.com/#/design/68355643
or you can use the Long Binding Strips: https://design.cricut.com/#/design/76983932
Use the first link if you are using the scraps left over from cutting out the blocks, sashing, and borders. If you don’t have enough fabric left to get 110” of binding from your scraps, buy ⅓ yard of a coordinating fabric to use for your binding, and then use the large binding strips cut file.
If you want to learn even more about binding, there is a great Binding series on Craftsy. You can check it out here: http://shrsl.com/p5jb
