Rangers' defensive breakdowns result in OT loss to previously winless Sharks

Rangers forward Taylor Raddysh didn't to get to enjoy his second career NHL hat trick in a 6-5 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks, New York's fifth consecutive defeat at home to begin the season. Raddysh emphasized the need for the team to play a full 60 minutes and not just in spurts. Veteran Mika Zibanejad took no satisfaction in scoring a power-play goal saying, "We didn't win so... not good enough. Head coach Mike Sullivan blamed his team for "chasing offense" and not sticking to the defensive principles they had adhered to since training camp.
