First Time Ruger Standard (Mark I, II, III) Reassembly

I've heard a lot of complaints about the Ruger Standard (Mark I, II, III and 22/45) series of pistols. I've heard people who said they sold their Ruger pistols because the reassembly was to difficult! I even heard a guy who said he had a Ruger pistol in parts, in a box, in the garage, for the last 5 years because he just couldn't figure out how to put it back together!

I wanted to make a video showing that it's not as hard as some people make it out to be. Sure, it's not the easiest pistol to field strip but can it really be THAT hard? I have to admit the original manual is next to no help and if that was my only reference I probably wouldn't be able to get the darn thing apart in the first place! But thanks to other video tutorials here on Youtube I think I'll be able to disassemble and reassemble it my first try without to much trouble.

This is my absolute first time ever taking one of these pistols apart. That was the whole reason I wanted to do this video. This is a newbie helping newbies! If I get stuck on something you'll see why. If I can get it done the first time so can anyone and it's only going to get easier after the first time you have to do it.

So, is it as hard as some people make it out to be?
