A COOKING EXPERIENCE - VEGAN RECIPES & MINI VLOG

We had the honor to be invited by the best NGO in Romania as guest cookers in their associative restaurant called CUIB in the city of Iasi. This restaurant is 100% vegetarian and focuses on local foods. For the 16th edition of the Micul Prinz series we wanted to do something special and close from home. The main ingredient was Buckwheat.

During our early years of food exploration, we came across Buckwheat while looking for a nutritious and simple alternative to gluten. Buckwheat pancakes are traditionally found in the French region of Bretagne. More commonly called the black wheat, this seed (which looks like a grain) is an ancestral survivor. In Moldova and Russia it is used daily in various forms and tastes. And it is the perfect ingredient for our French-Romanian combo.
