Understand Revelation, today

The Book of Revelation is traditionally outlined based on a directive given to the apostle John in the first chapter: "Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now, and what will take place later" (Revelation 1:19). However, this is not the outline, but the key to understanding the book. The outline comes from the number of times John is taken up "in the Spirit." Consequently, there four sections to the outline.
