Forza Horizon 6 Drag race: Honda Civic Type R FD2 vs Civic Type R EP3 vs Civic Type R EK9
Hello everyone! I hope you all viewers are doing great and we're back with another drag race on Forza Horizon 6!. Today's drag race is a showdown between a trio of VTEC generations, bringing together three legendary VTEC machines from different eras as we line-up the Honda Civic Type-R generations, FD2 vs EP3 vs EK9. Each one represents a different stage of the Type R's evolution. Pure, raw simple old school performance...and a great sounding Inline-4, that is what most JDM enthusiasts desire. Nonetheless, lets talk about them each.
We have the 1997 Honda Civic Type-R, the original EK9 generation. A lightweight raw high-revving VTEC, it is a rolling evidence that power is not everything when you have weight and response on your side.
Then we have in the middle..the 2004 Honda Civic Type R EP3 generation, It introduced a more modern Type R feel with the famous K-series engine, stronger performance, and a practical hatchback body. Compared to the EK9, it has more power and torque, but it also carries more weight, making this a true balance between old-school and modern Honda engineering.
Last but not least, we have the 2008 Honda Civic Type R which represents the FD2 generation, one of the most respected naturally aspirated Civic Type R models ever made. With its aggressive sedan design, high-revving K20 engine, sharper chassis, and track-focused personality, the FD2 is often seen as one of the best Type R formulas Honda ever created. This one in particular is an unreleased car on Forza Horizon 6 at the moment and thankfully we got the chance to see how it compares to its predecessors!
Now with that being said, which Civic Type R is the ultimate of the three? Lets find out!
