2021 Toyota Sienna Interior Review - Console - Seats - Cargo

Today we review interior of 2021 Toyota Sienna.

Finally, after 10 years of waiting, Toyota decided to unveil the 4th generation Toyota Sienna Minivan. Toyota has given the 2021 Sienna a completely new makeover. The body has a sculpted and aggressive look making it the coolest looking minivan ever. From the outside, you can tell that the Sienna takes inspiration from the 2020 highlander giving the 2021 Sienna an SUV-like look which I think is a good thing. Believe me, after seeing the new Sienna your kids won't complain about a dorky-looking minivan.
The 2021 Sienna will have 5 models; the LE, XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum models. Toyota has decided to go hybrid with all trims of the new Sienna. The hybrid design perfectly matches the needs of the people looking for a minivan and I think Toyota made the right decision.
We all know minivans have more to do with the inside as compared to the outside. You and your family are going to love what Toyota has done with the new Sienna's interior. Keeping in mind the two key aspects of a good minivan; Practicality and Family friendliness, Toyota has given the interior a modern and stylish redesign. The interior fully complements the exterior.
I know people thinking of getting the new Sienna are more interested in the inside, so, I'll be giving a detailed review of its interior.
Let's jump right in and start with the centre console. The centre console is no longer called the centre console it's called the Bridge and connects to the dashboard. Well, it looks pretty much looks like a bridge as there is space at top and bottom for you to put stuff. The bridge accommodates the gear shift, the drive mode switches, some cupholders, little compartments and a small box with a sliding top. At the very front of the bridge is a wireless charging pad and at the end of the bridge, there's a good size console box. Overall, the bridge feels very ergonomic and comfortable.
Coming to the front seats. Both front seats are captain chair seats with long armrests on the side. They look big and comfortable. On long family trips, you are not going to get tired on these seats.
If you are willing to spend more, on the limited and platinum models you get both heated and ventilated leather seats and a nice leather-wrapped dashboard with a two-tone interior. If you choose the sport XSE model, you'll get black and white faux leather seats with red contrasting stitching.
Now moving to the driver's side. The steering wheel has a modern three-spoke design with silver accents around the cruise control and entertainment buttons. The driving cluster gauge has a 7-inch screen to show all the different information. The speedometer and RPM gauge are digital but in analog style.
The climate control and other control button are in the centre of the dashboard with two ac vents on its side. The centre control does not look very cluttered or confusing either.
Coming to the main infotainment system. The 2021 Sienna comes standard with a 9-inch multimedia touch screen which stands upright just above the climate controls. No matter an iPhone or Android you can easily connect to the infotainment system as it has both android auto and apple car play. Both the driver and front passenger can easily access the 9-inch touch screen. You also get 3 USB ports in the front.
The new Sienna has an amazing 1200-watt JBL sound system, you'll find 12-speakers spread around the car. With two of them in the front A-pillars as well. Long trips with friends or family are going to feel like a party. However, you won't be getting this audio system in the LE model. The base model only has a 6-speaker setup.
Before going to the back there's one more thing to discuss. The rearview mirror. In the platinum variant, you get a digital display rearview mirror. It gives you a direct feed of what's behind you through a high definition camera in Sienna's rear hatch. Doesn't matter if you have too many people sitting in the back or too much stuff; stuffed in the back, the digital display rearview mirror will give you an unrestricted view from the back of your vehicle.
Now let's move to the back or should I say the middle. The second-row seats have ample room with a middle jump seat as well. However, in the limited and premium trims, you get only two middle seats because both of them are captain chairs that can slide 25 inches for even more legroom and cargo space. This leaves no space for the middle jump seat.
The new Sienna has a separate rear-seat entertainment system so your kids can enjoy what they like in the back while you enjoy what you like in the front. The rear-seat entertainment system has a 1080P 11.6-inch screen that can be connected to using an HDMI port at the rear of the bridge console.
