Why are sprinters so jacked? The answer can be found in their training. Sprinters focus on a few methods of training, which include sprinting workouts (acceleration training, speed training, block starts, speed endurance training, etc.), strength and power training (including squats, deadlifts, olympic lifts, sled pulls, and more), and general conditioning training.

Because of these training methods, sprinters tend to show low body fat levels, high percentages of lean body mass, and an overall "jacked" build.

While the aesthetics of sprinters are great, the real reason sprinters lift weights and train with strength training is to develop greater force output capabilities, higher levels of power production, and prevent injury.
