EPFO Latest Update In Bengali | PF Claim Process In Bengali | PF Withdrawal Rules In Bengali
I have Discussed
Big relief has come for nearly 7 crore Provident Fund (PF) account holders as the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has recently introduced two major changes in its claim process. These updates are aimed at making online claims more transparent, faster, and hassle-free. If you are an EPF member, these changes directly affect how you withdraw your PF money or update your bank account details.
In this video, I have discussed everything you need to know about the latest EPFO rule changes, how they simplify the claim process, and how over 1.7 crore people have already benefited from them.
The first big change is that EPFO has removed the requirement of uploading scanned copies of cheques or bank passbooks while filing online claims. This was previously part of a KYC (Know Your Customer) trial update. However, from 28 May 2024, this has been implemented on a broader scale after its success during the pilot run.
Now, the bank account details are directly verified with the member’s UAN (Universal Account Number). Once the bank account name is matched with the UAN, the system automatically considers it valid. Hence, members no longer need to upload passbook images or cheque scans, making the claim process simpler and paperless.
The second major change is that EPFO has removed the need for employer approval after successful bank account verification. This means, once your bank account is verified, the withdrawal claim will be processed without waiting for employer confirmation. This significantly reduces the chances of delays or rejections caused by pending employer approvals.
The direct result of these updates is that PF money can now be credited directly to your verified bank account without any third-party involvement or unnecessary documentation. This change not only saves time for the employee but also enhances the transparency of the entire withdrawal system.
According to the data released by EPFO, out of 7.74 crore registered PF members, about 4.83 crore have already linked their bank accounts successfully with their UAN. However, there are still around 14.95 lakh requests pending for linking bank accounts, which need attention from the members.
In another positive move, EPFO now allows employees to change their existing bank account through the online portal. You simply need to enter the new bank account details and verify the change using your Aadhaar OTP (One-Time Password). This feature has empowered members with more control over their PF-related financial transactions.
These rule changes are part of EPFO's larger digital transformation strategy aimed at empowering employees across India. With smoother KYC procedures, paperless bank account verification, and employer-free claim settlement, EPFO is setting a new standard in employee-centric services.
If you are an EPFO member, here’s what you should do now:
Make sure your bank account is linked to your UAN.
Ensure your Aadhaar is also seeded and verified in your EPF profile.
If your old account is not valid anymore, change it online using Aadhaar OTP.
Always double-check that your bank name matches the UAN record to avoid claim rejections.
No need to upload a scanned passbook or cheque again for claims.
Why this is important for private sector employees:
Saves time and avoids delays in claim settlements.
No employer dependency once bank details are verified.
Enables quick withdrawal, especially during emergencies.
Simplifies the UAN-bank linkage process.
Reduces the burden of paperwork and repeated documentation.
These new EPFO rules are seen as a major step towards a digital, employee-friendly PF system. The organisation has also requested members who have not yet updated or linked their bank accounts to do so immediately to enjoy these benefits. The goal is to ensure faster, paperless, and transparent access to one’s retirement savings.
So, if you're one of the 7 crore EPFO contributors, don't delay. Log in to the UAN portal, check your KYC, and take full advantage of these new features. The faster you act, the sooner you’ll benefit from the upgraded system.
