👦 "Daddy, how is Claude able to connect with Blender and Gmail to get the work done for you?"

👦 "Daddy, how is Claude able to connect with Blender and Gmail to get the work done for you?"

My kid asked me this while I was getting Claude to build a 3D model in Blender and fire off emails to my team. Different apps. So how does one AI tool talk to all of them?

I explained it in a way that made sense to a curious 9 year old. 👇

🔌 Think of USB-C. One single protocol. The same cable charges your water dispenser, your onion chopper, and a dozen other gadgets. You don't need a different connector for each one.

⚡ The electricity flows through one standard port into any tool that supports it.

🤖 MCP (Model Context Protocol) is exactly that, but for AI.

Instead of electricity, imagine the "power" flowing through is an AI tool like Claude Cowork. Instead of USB-C, the standard port is MCP.

🛠️ So when Claude needs to connect with Blender, Gmail, or any other tool in your pipeline, it plugs in through MCP. One protocol. Many tools. No custom wiring for each app.

That's the whole magic. A single connection standard that lets your AI reach into the tools you already use every day. 🎯
