Since we arrived at Universal Studios Orlando a little early for early park admission, let’s head straight over to the Escape From Gringotts ride over in Diagon Alley. Okay so here’s the grand reveal of Diagon Alley for Harry Potter days. I’m very interested in what the wait time is going to be for the Escape From Gringotts ride. So the standby wait time for Escape From Gringotts is only 10 minutes so we’re going to do it. So that was our first Celebration of Harry Potter Days activity and it was pretty fun. If you’re a Harry Potter fan and you come to Universal Orlando for the Harry Potter Expos or just for a normal visit of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, then a turn on Escape From Gingotts is a must do. For us it was a great way to start the whole Celebration of Harry Potter weekend. For those of you who have not been on the Escape From Gringotts ride, it’s kind of a combination roller coaster slash 3D movie ride.
Okay, it’s 9:00am so the exhibits for the Harry Potter Expo Orlando should be open now so let’s apparate over now. Okay, there we are we apparated over to sound stage 33 at Universal Studios Orlando, which is one of two main expo areas for the Harry Potter Celebrations Days 2018. However, the line to get into the that area of the Harry Potter Expos was a bit too long so we’re changing plans for the moment and heading over to the over Harry Potter Expos area that have set up here at Universal Orlando, sound stage 21. Just like last year for Harry Potter Celebration days sound stage 21 is easier to get into to see some of the Harry Potter exhibits during a Celebration of Harry Potter Days. Again this year they have the Fantastic Beasts VR experience, one of my favorite at the Harry Potter Expo 2018. And again this year at the Harry Potter Expos they have the Harry Potter trivia presented by Pottermore. I’d like to have Nikki do this, she’d do pretty well, she knows her Harry Potter trivia. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London have brought some practical effects from their Making of Harry Potter exhibits. One of the best practical effects demonstrations that they brought to Universal Studios Orlando for the Harry Potter weekend is this chair that Professor Slughorn turns himself into in one of the Harry Potter movies. The Harry Potter Expo also has an area here in sound stage 21 at Universal Orlando where you can test out a new Harry Potter video game called Hogwarts Mystery. There is also an exhibit featuring wardrobe and costume design from the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and I think we’re going to come in here and check some of it out. It’s pretty cool stuff but I have to mention all the Harry Potter cosplay people that are all around during the Celebration of Harry Potter Days. For me Harry Potter cosplay is one of the best things happening during Harry Potter Celebration Days. The level of creativity displayed by the cosplay here at the Harry Potter Expo 2018 is amazing. It is so awesome that Universal Studios Orlando allows for Harry Potter cosplay during the Harry Potter Expos. Later on in this theme park vlog, we’re going to see the cosplay customer competition that Universal Studios puts on for all the cosplay people at the Celebration of Harry Potter Weekend. Also in this vlog we’ll do another one of Rix Quick Food Reviews. And since this vlog is all about the Celebration of Harry Potter, there is no better place for lunch than the Leaky Cauldron that Universal Studios has created in Diagon Alley. I think there is much better food in the park, but if you are here for the Harry Potter Expos then you want to be able to eat in a Harry Potter setting. I would say most of the Celebration of Harry Potter Expos are at the Universal Studios side of the Universal Studios Resort but there are some events at the amphitheater at Islands of Adventure near Toon Lagoon. The other major Harry Potter Celebration event happening at Islands of Adventure is over in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter over in Hogsmeade at the Hogwarts Castle. There is brand new Hogwarts Castle Projection show feature all the Hogwarts houses. This is the first time Universal Studios Orlando has done this particular projection show and they are featuring it here for the Celebration of Harry Potter Days 2018. #UniversalStudios #harrypottercelebrationdays
