The World's Largest Tostones (Fried Green Plantains)

Outside Cali, Colombia up at the Km 18 de la Carretera Mar, the highway to Buenaventura, Armando from Tumaco, Nariño makes certainly the largest tostones, twice fried green plantains, that I have ever seen. He mashes four plantains together using a piedra (a smooth river rock, one of the most common and utilitarian cooking implements in any Colombian kitchen) and a rolling pin to forge together a tostada de plátano of gigantic proportions.
