Kunaal Roy Kapur on YJHD Re-Release, Love for Comedy Films & Working with Brother Aditya Roy Kapur

Kunaal Roy Kapur, well known as Taran from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, reflects on the film’s re-release and its lasting impact. Recently seen in Bandish Bandits 2, the actor has carved a unique space in OTT as well.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmfare, Kunaal talked about the re-release of YJHD and the newfound love his character got. The actor also spoke about his love for comedy films and how he naturally tries to add humour to the situations he can. However, he believes that comedy is the most loved yet least respected genre and explains why it’s harder to pull off than other forms of acting.

Despite his success, Kunaal is his harshest critic and admitted there are moments in Delhi Belly where he feels he could have done better. He also shared that he wasn’t satisfied with his performances in Gollu Aur Pappu and his debut film, Panga Na Lo.

Additionally, he opened up about working with his brother, Aditya Roy Kapur and revealed which brother he is closest to, Siddharth Roy Kapur or Aditya.
