Jinan, the capital city of east China's Shandong Province, is home to 72 famous artesian springs scattered across the city. Hence, it is known as the "City of Springs." The most renowned of those springs is Baotu Spring, which can spout to a height of 29 meters from underground. Fed by underground limestone caves through three outlets, the spring's water temperature remains constant at 18 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
