God sometimes take us into troubled waters not to drown us but to cleanse us. When you look at a certain situation at times, holding on can be difficult but we need to remember that God is our anchor in the time of trouble and we will always overcome the storm.
Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Psalms 107:29 - He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
