Asus Zenfone 8 | Unboxing & Full Tour

Unboxing the Asus Zenfone 8, one of the best compact smartphones of 2021, boasting a powerful dual-lens camera, speedy performance and a mini design. Ahead of my review here's a tour of the ZenUI 8 features, gaming test with Genshin Impact and my early verdict on this Pixel 5 rival (and Flip alternative). UK pricing starts from £539 early bird, or £599 standard, and release is later in May.

The Zenfone 8 may not have the same reversible camera of that Flip model, but the small build makes up for that. Asus has still packed in some beefy specs including a Snapdragon 888 chipset plus up to 16GB of RAM, while Samsung's AMOLED screen boasts HDR10 Plus smarts. You also have a 64MP primary camera, plus UWA lens - both using Sony sensors.

ZenUI serves up a near stock Android 11 experience and is one of the best launchers around, offering great bonus features like the Game Genie. Genshin Impact runs like a charm even on top detail settings, while the 120Hz display is great news for games that support it.
