Brenda Blethyn has been playing the leading role of Vera for 9 series now but reveals that the detective scares her, stating she would hate to be interrogated by her. In light of Olivia Colman winning an Oscar, Brenda recalls her appearance at the awards show many years ago, and how delighted she was at being squashed between Sean Connery and Michael Caine. Brenda also confirms that they will start filming the tenth series later on this year.
