The Fundamentals of Linking

Hi Class!

I would like you to review the video before our class on Friday to understand the fundamentals of linking sounds. Remember, native speakers tend to be a bit lazy or want to speak efficiently in getting their ideas across. For that reason, sometimes they will slur or connect various sounds together without taking breaks. This is an important part of speech to understand, especially when communicating with people outside the context of the classroom.

This video covers the rules of linking (consonant to consonant; vowel to vowel; consonant to vowel).
