Israel Hamas war - Day 16: What we know so far

TODAY a second convoy of aid trucks entered the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing, heading towards the Gaza Strip, according to Egyptian security and humanitarian sources at Rafah.

A total of around 19 trucks carrying medical and food supplies had been inspected by UNRWA, the UN's Palestinian refugee agency, the sources said.

The first convoy of 20 trucks of supplies entered Gaza on Saturday.

However, the delivery of humanitarian aid was halted after an explosion and the sound of ambulances were heard close by.

Also, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi told troops on Saturday (October 21), that the army will go into Gaza to destroy Hamas, but the enemy will be "prepared".

This comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the war in Gaza is "do or die" for his country as he addressed troops on the border with Lebanon.

The blast took place shortly after a second aid convoy had entered the crossing from the Egyptian side.
