International Civil Aviation Day 2022 - RMC Aviation Academy

The International Civil Aviation Day was proclaimed on December 7 by the United Nations General Assembly in 1996.

Since December 7, 1994, the date of the Convention on International Civil Aviation's 50th anniversary, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has commemorated the day.

The day's objective is to raise awareness of the contribution that aviation, particularly international travel, has made to global social and economic growth. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the unique role that ICAO plays in encouraging international cooperation and the realisation of a global rapid transit network at the service of all humanity, as well as to help spread and reinforce knowledge of the value of international civil aviation to the social and economic development of States.
