My 5 Favorite Fountain Pens - 2020

In this video, I give you an update on which 5 fountain pens are my favorite and most used ones these days. (I also included 2 honorable mentions). The last time I did this type of video was 2 years ago in 2018 and there have been a few changes. 3 pens stayed on the top 5. One moved to honorable mention and 2 different pens made the top 5. A new/different pen made 2nd honorable mention. I've been back in the hobby for 4 years now but it had been 2 years since I evaluated my top 5 fountain pens. In a recent video for Appelboom's Top 3 Pens series I talked about my favorite sentimental pens. (see end screen for link).

These are my new top 5 fountain pens:
1. NEW to make the list: TWSBI Eco - I have 6 of these now with B, M, 1.1 nibs and I reach for them all the time for letter writing and bullet journaling! (showed yellow, have transparent purple, white & rose gold, blue transparent, clear and a Cement Grey is put away for my birthday. I love the reliability, ink capacity, colors, and comfort in writing!
2. SURVIVOR: Lamy Safari - Dark Lilac is my favorite but I have 2 Safari's and one Vista. I love the swappable nib, ease of cleaning, colors available, and comfortable grip.
3. SURVIVOR: TWSBI Go - I have 5 of these (showed clear, have 2 Sapphire, 1 smoke and B & F in Clear). I love the ease of filling, cleaning and the comfortable large grip & lightweightedness of this pen.
4. SURVIVOR: Jinhao X750 - I have 5 of these I use regularly (showed blue marblized, have silver, pink, shimmering sands, & purple). These are very reliable and the #6 swappable nibs make them very versatile. I feel they are a lot of pen for the money! We're talking about a pen that is under $10.
5. NEW to make the list: Moonman M600S - Tiger's Eye finish. I also have the purple/violet one which was a 2 year You Tube anniversary gift last year from a pen friend. (I mistakenly said 3 year in the video). These pens are elegant and appear to be much more expensive than they are coming in under $30. They have swappable #6 nibs.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Jinhao 159 - shown in Rose Gold, I also have lime green, orange and purple. These pens are heavy but comfortable to write with - and they take a swappable #6 nib. I really love putting broad and stub nibs in these for letter writing!
Moonman Wancai Mini - Green Swirl Shown & I have a clear one and a pink one. These pens are eyedropperable and hold 3 ml of ink. They are super reliable and don't leak (use silicone grease) , they always write, and never dry out. (in my experience) At under $20 ... wow.

COMMON THREADS:
1. These pens turn up in multiple colors in my collection - I like them all that much!
2. All can be nib swapped although I avoid that with the Ecos and Gos because I'm nervous I will damage a feed or crack a section.
3. All are under $30 (or were when I got them the Ecos have edged up just over $30 now).
4. Each of these pens are reliable and pretty easy to find.
