15+ Minutes of Plane Spotting at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD/KIAD)

Hello everyone,

Washington Monument, Capital Hill, Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian Museums. What do these attractions have in common? They are all located in the beautiful American capital of Washington, D.C., and this is where I went with my college program last week.

On Wednesday, April 26, I decided to go spotting at the 26th busiest airport in America, Dulles International Airport to catch some planes that do not come to Pearson. Accompanied by my good friend Ernest (CenturyHornet - Toronto Pearson Aviation), we both caught some amazing action on short final to RWY 1R including: the Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i, Etihad Boeing 787-9, SAS Airbus A330-300 and an endless parade of various business jets.

I would like to give a shoutout to DullesPlaneSpotter because if it wasn't for his amazing help, you would not have seen this compilation. Next week, I will upload my onboard videos of my journey to this awesome American city and back. But for now, I leave you with a 15+ minute compilation of about 50 planes landing at Washington Dulles on RWY 1R.
