Loan Amortization and Balloon Payments Using MS Excel

This video shows how you can use MS Excel to (a) determine your fixed monthly payment on a loan, (b) construct a complete amortization schedule and (c) determine the balloon payment to retire the loan early. All of these aspects are discussed using a fairly realistic example of an auto-loan.

Students will find this video particularly useful in helping answer Qs. 56 on Balloon Payments in Chapter 4 of "Corporate Finance" (12th Edition) by Ross, Westerfield, Jaffe and Jordan.
