Ukrainian forces 'destroy Russian tank in counter attack'

Footage that appears to have been shot from a drone, reportedly shows the moment Ukrainian forces 'destroy Russian tank in counter attack' in a counter-attack.

After the Russian tank fired at an unseen Ukrainian armoured personnel carrier.

The armoured personnel carrier which is located in the street of a village appears to be returning fire with a heavy machine gun against the tank before exploding.

The video reportedly shows one of Kyiv's BTR-4 armoured infantry transport aim and fire its 30mm cannon at the invading tank, which is left in flames.

Whether the armoured personnel carrier hit the tank's ammunition storage compartment was not confirmed.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said: 'Russian tank against Ukrainian armoured personnel carrier. Who do you think won in their homeland?'

It is unclear where exactly in Ukraine the footage was filmed, but Russian ground forces are reported to have withdrawn from northern Ukraine.
