Boss SYB-5 - Test (Chameleon riff)

➤ How I recorded:
I initially recorded the bass track in Cubase through an active DI box and an audio interface. I cut, copied and pasted the riff so as to create a sufficiently long loop to be able to move the pedal controls during the video.
After that, I did a sort of reamp. I connected the audio interface OUT to SYB-5 IN, and Syb-5 OUT to the DI box. In cubase I pressed REC button letting the bass track play, so the track passed through the SYB-5 processing the sound.
In this way I could easily move the pedal controls, without worrying about playing and avoiding wasting time by interrupting my playing so as to reduce the length of the video that would have lasted too long. In about 7 minutes of video I show the main sounds this pedal can offer.
Using this procedure, the clean bass sound is heard even if the "direct" knob is at minimum on the pedal.

Connections:
• Recording track: bass → active DI box → audio interface → notebook (Pod Farm, Cubase).
• Reamp: audio interface → SYB-5 → active DI box → audio interface → notebook (Pod Farm, Cubase).
