पश्चिम एशिया में जारी तनाव के बीच प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नागरिकों से पेट्रोल-डीजल की बचत करने और संभव हो तो 'वर्क फ्रॉम होम' अपनाने का आग्रह किया है। इस अपील से उपजी चिंताओं को दूर करते हुए पेट्रोलियम मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने स्पष्ट किया कि देश में ईंधन का पर्याप्त भंडार मौजूद है। उन्होंने किसी भी तरह के लॉकडाउन की संभावना को पूरी तरह खारिज करते हुए जनता को आश्वस्त किया है। साथ ही, सरकार ने सुरक्षात्मक कदम उठाते हुए एलपीजी के उत्पादन को 36,000 टन से बढ़ाकर 54,000 टन प्रतिदिन कर दिया है। कुल मिलाकर, सरकार अंतरराष्ट्रीय संकट के बावजूद घरेलू आपूर्ति और अर्थव्यवस्था को स्थिर बनाए रखने के लिए पूरी तरह मुस्तैद है।
